This novelist is very capable, witness Bug Out! Texas. This series BugOut! CA isn't so much an SHTF novel as it is a street by street guide to the LA area. Not to mention the main focus is romance. So if you're looking for an action-packed SHTF novel, read the Bug Out! Texas series. And yes I did read the complete boring BO CA series by skip reading. How the other reviewers gave this book 4 stars is beyond my comprehension ?
Alright,here we go. The first bugout series I enjoyed until he brought the stupid seriel killer and his dungeon in.The Bugout Texas I really enjoyed until he carried it on to long....I had high hopes for this one since I thought maybe he had learnt something along the way.It actually could have been a good book if he had stuck to 2 basic sets of characters and not jumped around so much. If you are looking for something to confuse you and not ever know what is going on then this is for you. As for me I am done with this author and his repetitious story lines. Maybe one day he will come out with something fresh and new.We can only hope.

As good all of the rest Bug Out Books
I've been reading the different Bug Out series for quite awhile, they are very entertaining and in my opinion show the true spirit of the citizens of the USA.
Very realistic and personal. The action slides effortlessly from sports to violence, and eventually war. Normal young men and women , and their senior counterparts equally face the unthinkable over a short period.
I found their outlook and responses reasonable and realistic, as their circumstances go from normal to extreme in the course of one very bad week.
I feel bad for the author. I have 800 kindle books, never once rated any of them with 1 star. This is written like a uneducated puppy love story, with a few fiction shoot em ups incorporated. I purchased the three book series, a waste of money. It's unfortunate that the raters before me were less then honest, with the author, in their reviews.
To the author, you show flashes of brilliance, in your writing, however, this puppy live stuff, is poorly done, nothing flows, if I didn't know better I'd think you were a millennial, with a sever case of add/adhd. Actually, don't know better.
Young man best of luck to you. I'm flushing all three books of the series I purchased this afternoon. Son, you have potential, keep working you will get their.
