Ruby is a plump young woman who's planning on spending her summer break relaxing around home. But alpha werebear Darriel has other plans, and he always gets what he wants. She's stolen away into the forest, and she can't deny her immediate, strong physical attraction to him. But she doesn't want her first time to be with a bear who kidnapped her. He wants her just as badly as she wants him, and like I mentioned, a werebear always gets what he wants. Meanwhile, there's something wrong at pack headquarters, but no one knows for sure what it is. And Ruby's family might not be as safe as she thinks. You do not want to miss this steamy, exciting werebear novella!

I was very disappointed with this story, it was poorly written and the grammar was horrible. Proofreading could have solved a lot of these problems. I also didn't like the fact that racism was brought into a story where it wasn't needed, the language was crude also. I have read a lot of paranormal erotica stories and this was the worst so far. The story itself could have been great but the other issues distract you from the entire story.Product details

A Growl in the Night Ursula Dunn 9781520353678 Books Reviews
Its okay, not sure that I like the idea of children being put in harms way.
At least I didn't have to pay for this book (very, very short story.. Not even a novella) . And I strongly advise against buying.
This person needs an editor. Spellcheck. Third grade - sixth grade review of English, word use, spelling etc. It annoys me to read a book.. Err short arse super rushed story it ended up being. Read in less than 30 minutes. That's not a BOOK. Anyway, the person.. After reading this and errors on every single page, I really cannot bring myself to call them an author.. But this person really needs to just go back and read what theyve written at the very least. Get a friend to help read and correct all the mistakes before throwing it out to the big dogs like etc.. using loser for looser, mixing up the use of then And than and much worse atrocities that have you going back and rereading and rewriting the sentences and paragraphs in your head just to make sense of it.
That and on top of it, even being such a super short story they couldn't keep up with details. She woke at NOON and ran from the house and suddenly everyone was using flashlights in the forest and they ran by in the dark and no one saw. Next sentence the suns beaming down. Makes absolutely NO sense. They forgot they wrote it was noon, then middle of night then day again.. They didn't keep up with details that are important to the story they're trying to tell. I don't know how this ever got published. I'm trying to be extremely honest, not hating on this person. It was all mistakes and mish mashed info, no character depth.
Believe me when I say NO parents or police would act like THAT, so nonchalant after not only one child was kidnapped but TWO within 24 hours. And even a teen and 20 yo wouldn't act like that after. Especially the little sister.
It was incredibly unbelievable. Well. I know it's supposed to be a shifter novel but usually you get drawn in to a great story and either fall in love, like or hate with characters etc there weren't enough details and no character depth or real story there. So the characters were very Basic.
The only thing that the book seemed to really stick to was racism. Like way, way too much. She and the bear shifter exchanged more info about her father being racist than even ever getting to know one another, much less fall in love.
It sucked.
Recommend it? Never. Not even if you're bored out of your mind and dying to read but anything. You'll be one frustrated and disappointed and waste your money and time.
Recommend anything by this "author"? Absolutely not.
Poorly written and anticlimactic
I loved it! I can't wait for another one to come out. Defiantly a bit different than some of the other ones I've read lately.
Great book
This, was a very short and fast story.I really want oily sho it had more details yr fail and was longer.when way the story ended there should have been more.
The book is a bit slow and the plot is not that great. The characters while ok are not well rounded. The book could have had so much potential but it wasn't ever fully developed.
